Gripon Terminal Blocks are intended to permanently support and insulate electrical wire terminations and joints from each other and from the surface on which the terminal block is mounted , where the absence of such support or insulation presents a risk of fire, electric shock or injury to persons. They are insulated bases used to connect wires, printed circuit boards and other electronic components to one another.
Gripon Terminals can accept solid and stranded conductors as well as flexible conductors of rated cross section and rated connection capacity as specified in the catalogue. Gripon's Melamine terminals can be used in temperature range of -55°C to 130°C on G type rail. These are available from the range of 2.5 mm² to 120 mm² Screw Clamp Type, Stud Type, Bus Bar Type, Disconnecting & Testing Type & Fuse Type, 500V/24A upto 1000V/300A. They are mounted on 15mm, 32mm or 35mm standard Rail types TS15, G32 or TS35 (DIN EN standard).
Polyamide terminals can be used in temperature range -50°C to 100°C on G type rail as well as DIN rail. These are available from a range of 2.5mm² to 35mm² ; 800V/32A to 800V/125A. Terminals made from Melamine are particularly used in several environmental conditions and are preferred for use in circuit breakker panels, refineries & chemical plants. They are also used for intensive, high current wiring applications.
